John Kofi Agyekum Kufuor was born in Kumasi, Ghana. He is a Ghanaian politician who was President of Ghana from 2001- 2009. He was also Chairperson of the African Union from 2007 to 2008. He served as the Member of Parliament for Atwima Nwabiagya in the Second and Third Republics. He studied at Prempeh College, Lincoln's Inn, London, and Exeter College, Oxford. He was once the Chairman of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Football Club. He married to Theresa Mensah in 1962. They have five children.
