Francois Fenelon was born in Sainte-Mondane, France. He was a French Roman Catholic archbishop, author, theologian, and poet. He today is remembered mostly as the author of The Adventures of Telemachus, first published in 1699. He wrote several books include: The Complete Fenelon, The Seeking Heart, Spiritual Letters, Meditations on the Heart of God, The Royal Way of the Cross, Maxims of the Saints, Talking with God, Telemachus, Son of Ulysses, The Education of a Daughter, Let Go, and The Existence of God.
