Christine "Christie" Todd Whitman was born in New York City, and grew up in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. She is an American politician who served as the 50th Governor of New Jersey from 1994 to 2001, and was the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency in the administration of President George W. Bush from 2001 to 2003. She was the first Republican woman to be reelected governor. She graduated from Wheaton College in 1968, earning a bachelor of arts degree in government.
