Joe Jackson Gibbs was born in Mocksville, North Carolina, USA. He is a former American football coach, current NASCAR Championship team owner and former NHRA team owner. He was the 20th and 26th head coach in the history of the Washington Redskins. During his first stint in the National Football League, he coached the Redskins for 12 seasons and led them to eight playoff appearances, four NFC Championship titles, and three Super Bowl titles. He graduated in 1964 and earned a master's degree in 1966 both from San Diego State University. He has written several books include: Joe Gibbs: Fourth and One, Racing to Win, and Game Plan for Life. He married to Pat in 1966. They have two sons.
