John Raymond Garamendi was born in Camp Blanding, Florida, USA. He is an American Democratic politician. He serves as U.S. House of Representatives from California since 2009. He served as California Insurance Commissioner, U.S. Deputy Secretary of the Interior, and the 46th Lieutenant Governor of California from 2007 until his election to Congress. He also served as California Senate and California State Assembly. He earned a BA degree in business from the University of California, Berkeley. He received his MBA degree from Harvard Business School. He married Patricia Wilkinson in 1965. They have six children.
