Herschel Walker was born in Augusta, Georgia, USA. He is a former professional American football player, bobsledder and mixed martial artist. He began his professional football career with the New Jersey Generals of the United States Football League, before joining the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League. In the NFL, he also played for the Minnesota Vikings, Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1999. While still an active NFL player, he competed in the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville, France, as a member of the United States' bobsleigh team. He has a fifth-degree black belt in tae kwon do.
