Dinesh Joseph D'Souza was born in Bombay, Maharashtra, India. He is an Indian-born American political commentator, filmmaker, and author of several books. His first book, Illiberal Education, publicized the phenomenon of political correctness in America’s colleges and universities and became a New York Times bestseller for 15 weeks. In 2012, D'Souza released 2016: Obama's America, a documentary film based on his 2010 book The Roots of Obama's Rage. He has also been a critic of New Atheism. He graduated with a B.A. in English in 1983. He served as a policy adviser to President Ronald Reagan between 1987 and 1988. He served as the president of The King’s College in New York City from 2010 to 2012.
