Charles Albert James is a retired Executive Vice President of the Chevron-Texaco and was the Assistant Attorney General in charge of the Antitrust Division at the United States Department of Justice from 2001 to 2002. He earned his law degree from the National Law Center at George Washington University in 1979 and received his bachelor's degree from Wesleyan University in 1976. During a 30-year legal career, Professor James held some of the senior-most positions in American law, including government, private practice and corporate law.
