John Richard Kasich was born in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania, USA. He is an American Republican politician. He serves the 69th Governor of Ohio since 2011. He was a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Ohio's 12th congressional district from 1983-2001. He served as Chair of the House Budget Committee from 1995-2001. He also member of the Ohio State Senate from 1979-1983. He earned a BA degree in Political Science from Ohio State University in 1974. He has written several books include: Courage Is Contagious, Stand for Something, Every Other Monday, and Two Paths: America Divided Or United.
