Candace Parker was born in St. Louis, Missouri. She is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Sparks of the WNBA and UMMC Ekaterinburg of Russia. She may be best known for being the first woman to dunk in an NCAA tournament game and the first woman to dunk twice in a college game. She was a starter on the Lady Vols basketball team, winners of the 2007 and 2008 NCAA championships. She won the 2009 Teen Choice Awards as the favorite female athlete in the sports category, and was a guest star on Figure It Out.
