James Robert Jarmusch was born in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, USA. He is an American film director, producer, screenwriter, actor, composer and editor. He earned a BA degree in English and American Literature from Columbia University in 1975. He also studied at Northwestern University and Tisch School of the Arts, New York University.
