Jim Fowler was born in Albany, Georgia, USA. He is an American naturalist and host of the Emmy Award-winning television show Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom. He studied at Earlham College, Richmond, Indiana. In 1997, he joined Discovery Communication's Animal Planet as a wildlife expert and later launched the television program Jim Fowler's Life in the Wild in 2000. He is the author of book, entitled Jim Fowler's Wildest Places on Earth. In 1991, Earlham College recognized Fowler for his distinguished career with an Outstanding Alumni Award.
