Henryk Skolimowski was born in Warsaw, Poland. He is a Polish philosopher. He completed technical studies, musicology and philosophy in Warsaw. He received his Ph.D. in philosophy from Oxford University. The student of Tadeusz Kotarbiński and Kazimierz Ajdukiewicz, he specialized in logic and philosophy of language. He served as a professor of philosophy at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, and now holds the position of professor emeritus. He has written several books include: Polish analytical philosophy, Eco-philosophy, The theatre of the mind, A sacred place to dwell, The Participatory Mind, Ecoyoga, and Let There Be Light.
