Greta Scacchi was born in Milan, Italy. She is an Italian-Australian actress known for her roles in the films White Mischief, Presumed Innocent and The Player. She won an Emmy Award in 1996 for her portrayal of Empress Alexandra Fyodorovna of Russia in the television film, Rasputin: Dark Servant of Destiny. Her role in other films include: Heat and Dust(Nominated—BAFTA Award for Best Newcomer), Defence of the Realm, A Man in Love, Woman in the Moon, Love and Fear, Salt on Our Skin, Jefferson in Paris, The Serpent's Kiss, Looking for Alibrandi, Baltic Storm, Hidden Love, and The Falling.
