I find that when I play reality-based characters, it is only as fun for me if I have a lot of time to do research. If I don’t it just isn’t exciting but if I do, it can be fun because I can learn about that person and the world that they live in and I can become somebody else.

Daryl Christine Hannah was born in Chicago, Illinois. She is an American actress and environmentalist. She is best known for her performances in the films Blade Runner, Splash, Roxanne, Wall Street, Steel Magnolias and Kill Bill. She is also an environmental campaigner who has been arrested for protests against developments that are believed by some groups to threaten sustainability. She made her film debut in 1978 with an appearance in Brian De Palma's horror film The Fury. Hannah's roles in the remainder of the 1980s ranged from 1986's film version of the best seller The Clan of the Cave Bear and Legal Eagles. The next year, she appeared in the Academy Award-winning Wall Street, for which she received a Razzie Award.
