Glenn Raymond Tipton was born in Blackheath, West Midlands, England. He is an English Grammy Award-winning guitarist and songwriter. He is best known as one of the lead guitarists for heavy metal band Judas Priest. He learned to play guitar at age 19 with his first guitar being a Hofner acoustic guitar.
