Elizabeth Lee Wurtzel was born in New York City, USA. She is an American writer, lawyer, and journalist, known for publishing her best-selling memoir Prozac Nation, at the age of 26. She holds a BA in comparative literature from Harvard College and a JD from Yale Law School. She received the 1986 Rolling Stone College Journalism Award. While an undergraduate at Harvard College, she wrote for The Harvard Crimson and The Dallas Morning News. She writes regularly for The Wall Street Journal. She wrote an article in Elle magazine about societal pressures related to aging. She has written several books include: Prozac Nation, Bitch, More, Now, Again, The Secret of Life, The Bitch Rules, and Creatocracy.
