George Herbert was born in Montgomery, Wales. He was a Welsh poet, orator, and Anglican priest. He earned a B.A. degree in 1613 and an M.A. degree in 1616 from Trinity College, Cambridge University. In 1624 and briefly in 1625 he served in the Parliament of England. He wrote several books include: The Temple, The country parson, Poems of George Herbert, The complete English poems, A Priest to the Temple, and A Night in a Moorish Harem.
