Edward Moore "Ted" Kennedy was born in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. He was an American politician and lawyer. He was a United States Senator from Massachusetts and a member of the Democratic Party. He was the second most senior member of the Senate when he died and was the fourth-longest-serving senator in United States history, having served there for almost 47 years. At age 24, Kennedy graduated from Harvard in 1956 with an A.B. in history. He enrolled in the University of Virginia School of Law in 1956.
