Jane Wagner was born in Morristown, Tennessee, USA. She is an American screenwriter, director and producer. She is best known as Lily Tomlin's comedy writer, collaborator and wife. She directed several films include: Moment by Moment and Hearts And Quarks(short film). She has written several films include: J.T., Moment by Moment, The Incredible Shrinking Woman, Lily: Sold Out, The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe(stage show, also producer), An Apology to Elephants(documentary). She has been nominated for Grammy Awards, with Tomlin, for the comic’s recorded albums and has won three Emmy Awards and a Writers Guild of America award, also with Tomlin, for the comic’s television specials.
