Bonaro W. Overstreet was born in Geyserville, Calif,United States. She was an American author, poet and psychologist. For more than three decades, Mrs. Overstreet and her husband, Harry A. Overstreet, lectured widely on adult education, mental health, social psychology and political philosophy. Outspoken defenders of civil liberties and academic freedom, they co-wrote many books, including ''The Mind Alive,'' ''Leaders for Adult Education,'' ''What We Must Know About Communism'' and ''The Strange Tactics of Extremism.''
