Roy M. Goodman is an American politician. He was born in New York City and is the grandson of Israel Matz, founder of the Ex-Lax company. Goodman was the New York City Director of Finance under Mayor John Lindsay in 1966 and 1967 and Chairman of the New York Republican County Committee from 1981 to 2001.
