John Martin Kruk was born in Charleston, West Virginia, USA. He is an American former professional baseball first baseman and outfielder, and baseball analyst. He played in Major League Baseball for the San Diego Padres, Philadelphia Phillies, and Chicago White Sox from 1986 through 1995. He finished his 10-year career with a .300 batting average and exactly 100 home runs. He was inducted into the Philadelphia Baseball Wall of Fame in 2011. After retiring as a player, he became a baseball analyst for ESPN.
