John Paul Kotter was born in San Diego, California, USA. He is a New York Times best-selling author, award winning business and management thought leader, inspirational speaker and Harvard Professor. He is the Konosuke Matsushita Professor of Leadership, Emeritus, at the Harvard Business School and the founder of Kotter International. He earned a BS degree in electrical engineering in 1968, and an MS degree in Management in 1970 both from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He received his PhD from Harvard Business School in 1972. He has written several books include: The General Managers, Power and Influence, Leading Change, The Leadership Factor, Force For Change, Corporate Culture and Performance, Matsushita Leadership, Our Iceberg Is Melting (with Holger Rathgeber), A Sense of Urgency, and Accelerate.
