John Biddle was born in Gloucestershire, England. He was an English theologian. He is often called "the Father of English Unitarianism". He earned a BA degree in 1638, and an MA degree in 1641 both from Magdalen Hall, Oxford University. At the age of twenty-six, he became headmaster of the Crypt Grammar School, Gloucester.
