Alicia Christian "Jodie" Foster was born in Los Angeles, California, USA. She is an American actress and film director. She earned a BA degree in Literature from Yale University in 1985. She began her professional career at the age of three as a child model in 1965, and two years later moved to acting in television series, with the sitcom Mayberry R.F.D.
