James Edward Geringer was born in Wheatland, Wyoming, USA. He is an American politician. He served as the 30th Governor of Wyoming from 1995 to 2003. He earned a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kansas State University in 1967. He served as a member of the Wyoming House of Representatives from 1983-1988. He served as a member of the Wyoming Senate from 1989-1994. He married to Sherri in 1967. They have five children.
