Jess Rothenberg is an American author of The Catastrophic History of You and Me (novel), a YA debut published in more than a dozen countries. She grew up in Charleston, South Carolina. She graduated from Vassar College. She spent most of her college days editing books for teens and middle-grade readers. She started her career as an editorial assistant at Penguin Books in 2004. She has worked as a senior editor for Razorbill books at Penguin Group, USA. She joined the company in 2006 and worked there for five years. She lives in Brooklyn, New York City with her husband and son.
