Jerry L. Ainsworth was born in Louisiana, USA. He is an American professor and author. He holds a graduate degree in public health from Yale University, where he was also a visiting scholar in law and received his Ed.D from the University of Arkansas. He has served at colleges and universities as a professor and administrator. His work culminated in the book The Lives and Travels of Mormon and Moroni, which has become a best seller. He is also the author of a new book Love and Health. He is a third generation member of the LDS Church.
