Jeff Noon was born in Droylsden, Greater Manchester, England. He is an English novelist, screenwriter and playwright. He studied at the University of Manchester. He has written several novels include: Vurt, Pollen, Automated Alice, Nymphomation, Needle in the Groove, and A Man of Shadows (upcoming novel). He has written a play, entitled Woundings. He has written a film, entitled Woundings. He was also winner of the John W. Campbell Memorial Award 1995.
