Matthew Jay Roach was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA. He is an American film director and producer. He received a BA degree in economics from Stanford University in 1980 and later earned an M.F.A. in film production from the University of Southern California in 1986. He directed several films include: Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery, Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, Mystery, Alaska, Meet the Parents, Austin Powers in Goldmember, Meet the Fockers, Recount, Dinner for Schmucks, Game Change, The Campaign, Trumbo, and All the Way(TV film). He produced several films include: Meet the Parents, Meet the Fockers, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Borat, Charlie Bartlett, Brüno, Dinner for Schmucks, Little Fockers, Game Change, The Campaign, Sisters, All the Way(executive producer), and The Silent Man.
