Janette Oke was born in Champion, Alberta, Canada. She is a Canadian author, novelist and screenwriter. She graduated from Mountain View Bible College in Didsbury, Alberta, where she met her future husband, Edward Oke, who later became the president of that college. She has written several books include: Beyond the gathering storm, Spring's gentle promise, Julia's last hope, Return to Harmony, Another homecoming, The Father of Love, and A Prairie Legacy.
