James Ager Worthy was born in Gastonia, North Carolina, USA. He is an American former basketball player, coach and commentator. He serves as an assistant coach for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association. Named one of the 50 Greatest Players in NBA History, "Big Game James" was a seven-time NBA All-Star, three-time NBA champion and the 1988 NBA Finals MVP. He was married to Angela Wilder from 1984 to 1996; they have two daughters, Sable and Sierra Worthy.
