James Elroy Flecker was born in Lewisham, London, England. He was an English poet, novelist and playwright. As a poet he was most influenced by the Parnassian poets. He educated at Trinity College, Oxford and Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge. He wrote several poems include: The Bridge of Fire, Thirty-Six Poems, Forty-Two Poems, The Golden Journey to Samarkand, and The Old Ships. He wrote several novels include: The Last Generation and The King of Alsander. He wrote several plays include: Hassan and Don Juan.
