Jake Eberts was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He was a Canadian film producer and financier. He graduated with Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from McGill University in 1962. He earned his MBA degree from Harvard Business School in 1966. He produced several films include: The Adventures of Baron Munchausen, City of Joy, Super Mario Bros., No Escape, The Education of Little Tree, Grey Owl, The Legend of Bagger Vance, Open Range, and Two Brothers. In 1992, he became an Officer of the Order of Canada. He was also awarded honorary doctorates by McGill University in 1998 and by Bishop's University in 1999.
