Joseph Michael Straczynski was born in Paterson, New Jersey, USA. He is an American screenwriter, TV producer and comic book writer. He is the founder of Studio JMS, and is best known as the creator of the science fiction television series Babylon and its spinoff Crusade, as well as the series Jeremiah, and Sense8. He has written several films include: Changeling, Ninja Assassin, Thor, Underworld: Awakening, and World War Z. He has written several novels include: Earth 1 and Superman. He has written Superman, Wonder Woman, and Before Watchmen for DC Comics. He is the creator and writer of several original comic book series such as Rising Stars, Midnight Nation, and Dream Police. He earned a BA degree with a double major in psychology and sociology from San Diego State University.
