Ian Robins Dury was born in Harrow, England. He was an English rock and roll singer-songwriter, bandleader, painter and actor. He was the lead singer of Ian Dury and the Blockheads and before that of Kilburn and the High Roads. He studied painting at the Walthamstow College of Art. From 1964 he studied art at the Royal College of Art under Peter Blake. From 1967 he taught art at various colleges in the south of England. He also painted commercial illustrations for The Sunday Times in the early 1970s. His albums list shown below: New Boots and Panties!!, Lord Upminster, Apples, and The Bus Driver's Prayer & Other Stories. His singles list shown below: "Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll", "Sweet Gene Vincent", and "What a Waste".
