Hugh Newell Jacobsen was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA. He is an American architect. He earned his Bachelors Fine Arts from the University of Maryland, College Park in 1951 and a Master of Architecture from Yale University in 1955. His selected edifices include: Summer House, Darien; Alumni Center, University of Michigan; Private Residence, Wayzata; and Wall House.
