Howard Schwartz was born in St. Louis, Missouri, USA. He is an American author, poet, books editor and Professor of English at the University of Missouri, St. Louis. He has published three books of poetry and several books of fiction. He earned his BA and MA degrees from Washington University, St. Louis. He received honorary doctorate from Spertus Institute of Jewish Studies.
