Hillary DePiano was born in Parsippany, New Jersey, USA. She is an American author and playwright best known for her adaptations of Carlo Gozzi's The Love of Three Oranges and The Green Bird which have been performed in theatres around the world. A folk and fairy tale nerd, Hillary's mucked with myths from the nursery to the North Pole in over two dozen plays and other fiction works. Her novella, The Author win 2001 West Branch Literary Prize for Fiction.
