Herbert "Herb" David Kelleher was born in Camden, New Jersey, USA. He is an American businessman and lawyer. He is the co-founder, Chairman Emeritus and former CEO of Southwest Airlines. In July 2010, he was appointed Chair of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas board of directors for 2011. He earned a bachelor's degree from Wesleyan University and a Juris Doctor from New York University. He received many awards, including Tony Jannus Award for outstanding leadership in the commercial aviation industry, Bower Award for Business Leadership, and L. Welch Pogue Award for Lifetime Achievement in Aviation.
