Heather King is an American essayist, memoirist, and blogger. She has written and recorded several slice-of-life commentaries for National Public Radio's All Things Considered. She is the author of numerous essays and three memoirs: Parched, Redeemed, and Shirt of Flame: A Year with St. Therese of Lisieux. She has written other books include: A Guide to Surviving Life as a Mistress, Mimih the Mindil Beach Mermaid, Fresh Picked, Stumble, Stripped, and Loaded. She graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 1977 and Suffolk University Law School in 1984.
