Harry Shum, Jr. was born in Limón, Costa Rica. He is a Costa Rican-born American actor, dancer, singer, and choreographer. He is best known for his roles as Mike Chang on the Fox comedy-drama television series Glee and as Magnus Bane on the Freeform fantasy television series Shadowhunters. He also played Elliot Hoo in The Legion of Extraordinary Dancers. His role in several films include: You Got Served, Center Stage, Our Family Wedding, White Frog, Moms' Night Out, and Revenge of the Green Dragons.
