She won an Emmy Award in 1996 for her portrayal of Empress Alexandra Fyodorovna of Russia in the television film, Rasputin: Dark Servant of Destiny. Her role in other films include: Heat and Dust(Nominated—BAFTA Award for Best Newcomer), Defence of the Realm, A Man in Love, Woman in the Moon, Love and Fear, Salt on Our Skin, Jefferson in Paris, The Serpent's Kiss, Looking for Alibrandi, Baltic Storm, Hidden Love, and The Falling.
