Giovanni Giolitti was born in Mondovì, Italy. He was an Italian politician. He was the Prime Minister of Italy five times between 1892-1921. He is the second-longest serving Prime Minister in Italian history, after Benito Mussolini. At the 1882 Italian general election he was elected to the Chamber of Deputies for the Liberal Left. At sixteen he entered the University of Turin and earned a law degree in 1860.
