As a writer for The New York Times and Esquire magazine in the 1960s, he helped to define literary journalism. Talese's most famous articles are about Joe DiMaggio and Frank Sinatra. He has written several books include: Thy Neighbor's Wife, Honor Thy Father, Unto the Sons, A Writer's Life, The Kingdom and the Power, The Bridge, and Fame and Obscurity.
