Franz Peter Schubert was born in Himmelpfortgrund, Vienna, Austria. He was an Austrian composer who bridged the worlds of Classical and Romantic music, noted for the melody and harmony in his songs and chamber music. Among other works are Symphony in C Major, Symphony in B Minor, masses, and piano works. Schubert's music is notable for its melody and harmony. His output consists of over six hundred secular vocal works, seven complete symphonies, sacred music, operas, incidental music and a large body of chamber and piano music.
