Eric Hoffer was born in The Bronx, New York city, New York, USA. He was an American moral and social philosopher. He was the author of ten books. He was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in February 1983. He wrote several books include: The True Believer, The Ordeal of Change, The Temper of Our Time, Nature and The City, and Between the Devil and the Dragon.
