Eckhart Tolle was born in Lünen, Germany. He is a German-born Canadian author, teacher, and motivational speaker, best known as the author of The Power of Now and A New Earth: Awakening to your Life's Purpose. In 2011, he was listed by the Watkins Review as the most spiritually influential person in the world. He educated at the Universities of London and Cambridge. He has lived in Vancouver, Canada since 1995.
