Domhnall Gleeson was born in Dublin, Ireland. He is an Irish actor, film director, and screenwriter. He has acted on both stage and screen, earning a Tony Award nomination in 2006 for his part in the Broadway production The Lieutenant of Inishmore. He also starred in the Academy Award-winning movie short Six Shooter and Boy Eats Girl, as well as the RTÉ television series The Last Furlong. He won the 2011 Ifta Award for Best Actor for his performance as Bob Geldof in the acclaimed biopic When Harvey Met Bob. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Media Arts from the Dublin Institute of Technology.
